With more than 2 billion people using WhatsApp around the world to send 60 billion messages every day, the chat app has revolutionized the way we communicate. With an enterprise-grade API, companies can now send notifications and provide customer service through WhatsApp in a secure, reliable, and customer-friendly way.

Disable Chat Function

Companies that want to use WhatsApp for notifications only, therefore not expanding to customer service, can disable the Chat function.

Disabling this function means dropping the incoming messages, which can be done by:

  • Not providing a webhook (our system will drop messages/notifications in case nothing is configured) or
  • Providing the webhook but drop the messages on the receiving side.

ℹ️ Please be aware that tyntec doesn’t store incoming messages for future retrieval, so if there is no webhook defined, you can’t query messages from our systems.
