What does tyntec’s retry scheme for SMS delivery look like?
If the first delivery attempt is unsuccessful, tyntec automatically retries messages up to six times. The intervals between the retries are dynamically calculated based on the total message validity, which is 48 hours by default.
The exact number of retries and the duration between retries depend on several parameters, including error type and message validity. The final delivery report (DLR) will be sent to customers when the message has a final status (i.e., success or failure). During the retries, tyntec sends only one DLR showing the message is buffered. Customers can request that the total message validity be reduced.
